THE LABS

To carry out the various structural, elemental and isotopic analyses, two geochemical laboratories open their doors to the CRUMBEL team: the Research Unit" Analytical, Environmental and Geo-Chemistry (AMGC, VUB) and the Geochemistry: Isotopic, Mineral and Element Tracing Laboratory (G-TIME, ULB). Radiocarbon dating will occur the the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA) while the archaeological and osteoarchaeological study of the collections will take place at CReA-Patrimoine (ULB), the department of Anthropology and Human Genetics (ULB), the Maritime Culture Research Institute (MARI, VUB), and the Department of Archaeology (UGent).
